Second Chemo
I seem to be coping pretty well with the chemo so far.
The second round of chemo was a bit different. I had to give myself an injection (!) called Neulasta the day after I had the chemo. I wasn't ...
Hi June
Yes, I had to have Neulasta after every chemo other than the first one. Even though it says on the packet that it costs $1971!!!, it only cost me a normal prescription amount (I'm not sure what it was but my pharmacy bill for each treatment was about $60-90 which included Kytrill, the chemo and the neulasta).
The worst part of the neulasta for me was the achy joints. I had those every time for about 3-4 days and they seemed to be a little worse each time ( cummulative or chemo rather than neulasta??? who knows??). It did pass though and it wasn't too bad.
It is wonderful to think that my chemo is now over - I hope yours will be soon too :) I am now a week post the final treatment and almost back to normal again (maybe a few more days before I feel totally normal again - at least as normal as I can be!! LOL)
Good luck with the rest of your treatment
Louise :)
