  • Hi Kaye I had a mastectomy and 8 nodes removed in May. Front opening PJ's are helpful. I just wore a singlet top under my shirts for a few days while I had a drain. I found Ah Bras very comfortable once the drain was removed. They will show you some arm exercises to do. Make sure you keep doing these to get full movement back in your arm and shoulder. I found it was no where near as painful as I thought it would be. Hardly neede any pain relief after the first day. The worst thing for me was sleeping on my back. Make sure you have some soft pillows to prop around you for support. Take it easy when you go home for the first week or so. Hope it all goes well. Just remember when you wake up the cancer will be gone. Take care. Deanne xx
