Save money - Public vs Private for Radiation

Hi All,

I live in Melbourne and whilst i have seen my surgeon privately he arranged for me to be operated on in a public hospital and did the surgery i waited 20 days for that to occur and am now waiting on the next step.  It must of been awful to have been given your diagnosis and then a doctor give you his card because he happened to be there.

I know it doesn't help much but keep all your medical receipts, dental, physio for you and your family and once it reaches $2,000 claim the out of pocket expenses as a tax rebate you will get some money back this way.
