Same Sex partners need support too

Hi Jacqui, my girlfriend was diagnosed with locally advanced breast cancer in July 2012. My life has been turned upside down ever since. She's had 2 lots of surgery, 4 months of chemo & has just started radiation treatment. They're treating it aggressively because it's a higher risk BC & has spread to her lymph nodes. I joined this network to seek further support. I'm not really sure what to write? We live in central Victoria on 20 acres with a menagerie of animals. l have built my life around my partner for nearly 20 years & as a same sex couple, it's just the 2 of us. I simply cannot imagine my life without her, it's an unbearable thought. I am am trying to stay rational, focus on the here & now & make every second count. Thankyou Jacqui for kicking of this group.
