sad
Yesterday my beautiful daughter had her first round of chemo (2 days after her 30th birthday) She was originally told she had DCIS and because of her age and family history it was reccomended she hace a bi lateral masectomy.Thank god she did! When her pathology results came back she also had an aggressive stage 3 mass which had not been detected. Going with her yesterday was heart breaking, not because it brought back memories of my chemo but because this is my baby, I passed this on to her and although I knew there was a chance she would have this gene, I think I convinced myself she would be ok. I thought I had been strong and was holding it together but last night she told me I look sad and she often sees the tears in my eyes.I am very good at changing the subject !
