Sad day

I just got the news today that my friend from Perth died late last night. She fought lung, bone and brain cancer for nearly 18 months. I have been wanting to go to there to visit, now I will be going to say goodbye. My specialist appointment has been changed to Friday, but seems my biopsy results are fine. Phew! The taxation dept called asking about some errors I had made on my last PAYG/BAS notification, back in April oh my god, I don't even remember lodging it! Chemo brain doesn't seem to be an excuse though! Not sure when my brain is coming back. Today I am not going to think about it though, today I just want to be sad for my lovely friend Linda who fought so bravely. Tell the people you love how important they are, you don't know how long you have them! Love Penny

    You  are in my thoughts on this sad day. Good on you for making the trip over. It is no easy decision given everything that you are also going through.

    Take care and will hopefully see you and I hope all goes well with the funeral.

    Hi Penny

    I am so pleased for you that your biopsy results have come back clear, that is such a positive thing for you to hold on to at such a sad time.  Losing a friend or anyone for that matter that we love is such a very difficut thing.  I live in WA/Perth and also know of a Linda who has been battling cancer but I believe she was from Kalgoorlie

    My heart goes out to you at such a sad time.  Life certainly isn't fair sometimes is it.

    If you were to ask me what I did yesterday let alone back in April I wouldn't have a clue as chemo brain is a definite thing and your focus was probable on other things at that time.  I am sure tax dept. won't see that though.

    At least one very positive thing has come your way this week.

    I'm so glad your biopsy result was ok but so sorry about your friend.I am thinking of you at this sad time.
