sorry to hear you’ve joined our club. I think if you have sick or annual leave, now might be the time to take it. Yes, to limit movement, but also to limit risk of infection pre-op.

The BCNA and Cancer Council are both great for info & counselling if you need it. I highly recommend both.
Do you have income protection insurance with your super? If so, now would be a good time to start the ball rolling in making a claim.
I’m 4 months in to my journey, have had 2 surgeries, and have just begun chemo. It has surprised me how much time I have needed to take off, so anything you can do now to help yourself later on is worth doing I think.
Sing out if there is anything else you need advice with. I’m a 44 yr old mum and registered nurse (not oncology though), so I am navigating things from the other side. I also have a lot of time on my hands at the moment, waiting for my next round of chemo.
