Hi ladies,
I have just joined the Triple Negative group - my first group, although I have had wonderful support from the BCNA general site.

Hi Julie,
I thought of you on Friday, and I'm so sorry that you felt lousy after your first chemo. I hope it has settled down a bit and you are feeling better now.
My oncologist is starting me on weekly chemo for 18 weeks from May 10th. Then he suggests radiotherapy, and when that is all finished, having a hysterectomy. ( I actually still liked him after hearing all this!) Apparently even though my nodes were clear, it's a very nasty type that I have with a high rate of recurrence, so he wants to pull out all the stops to knock it on the head.
Yes - I have my bone scan tomorrow at the hospital, and then go back there the next day to have a portacath put in, under anaesthetic thankfully. Then it's blood tests and chemo education, and the Cancer Council girls coffee morning. Never a dull moment - it's something every day!
Can't wait to get my hair cut, too - probably next week. I bought a wig from Starkles and a couple of tube scarves - very easy to put on. They are soft for sleeping, and the saleswoman was so helpful. (They do the LGFB workshops for the Cancer Council, so I booked one next month.)
I do hope you are feeling better, Julie - lots of hugs - hang in there -
love,
Michelle xxx
