Rippling and bottoming out of implant

Has anyone experienced rippling of their implant?

When I lie on my side my left implant has extreme rippling that I can feel and see yet when I am upright it is not so much a problem and returns to its round shape.

My PS says it is because of the mastectomy and the lack of breast tissue that I can see and feel it.

Also I have no fold under this breast but my PS says that has always been the case. I had this done 12 years ago and to tell you the truth I cant remember. I am scared that the breast implant might be slipping down.

Like to hear your thoughts or experiences.

  • Hi Cheryl,

I dont have implants, but wanted to say that if you have concerns sometimes a second opinion can give a fresh perspective. I do recall hearing that implants have about a 10 year life before requiring replacement, not suggesting that this is necessarily the problem, but it sounds like you are experiencing changes, so perhaps its a reasonable question.

I hope others with more experience respond to your questions, take care XXLouie
