Results from unilateral mastectomy

Well, I got the results, I have stage 1 T1C for tumours and N1A for nodes. The two tumours were less than 1.6cms and of the 5 nodes there was cancer in 2 and it is contained within the nodes.

I tested positive to HER2 oestrogen, yet they say there is low level cell division.

On Thursday, I will meet with surgeon for post op follow up and then the oncology team regarding treatment. I believe that I will probably have chemo because of cancer in nodes.

I am on prednisone (steroids), methotrexate and nexium for autoimmune disease and rivaroxaban (blood thinners) so that will effect treatment, I am sure.

Thank you for any tips regarding the above.

    hi there, maybe just keep an open mind; three consulting oncologists at the private hosptial automatically recommended chemo for a micromet i had in lymph node; and it was pleasing that my oncologist who i was referred to --not attached to chemo unit...said no to chemotherapy and in my case that was 'old school' thinking --just depends on your outlook --ie have to follow doctors orders or if you are a bit questioning yourself; or if you want an conservative or 'new' approach
