Results are in...

Well, yesterday was the big day...results are in of my 12 weekly scans. I am still in absolute shock...total disbelief to be honest! 

I found out that there is now "NO EVIDENCE OF ANY PROGRESSIVE SOFT TISSUE ABNORMALITY THROUGH THE LUNGS"!!

This means that there is now NO detectable cancer in my lungs! I also found out that my bones are continuing to heal nicely, with no signs of any new cancer...!

So in other words, the latest scans have been unable to detect any cancer in my body!! :)

To say I am happy is an understatement! I am still in shock and I think this will take some time to sink in! I am in no way cured...for there is no cure (so they tell me)...but for now the cancer is out of sight, and that is enough for me! So what now?

Well, I will continue on with treatment as always....weekly chemo and a whole host of other drugs. I will continue with the regular Oncologist appointments and scans. I will continue to call the Royal Adelaide Hospital my second home and its nurses and doctors my second family...a place that I can't speak highly enough of for saving my life.

A big thank you goes out to those people who continue to hold my hand while I'm on this rollercoaster ride....in particular my amazing sister Denise Macleod who has been with me every step of the way...I love you ?

    Thanks Amanda, yes who would've thought, hey? It took a long time but finally got there, against all odds. My treatment team didn't think it was possible....but I never gave up hope. How long it remains this way is anyone's guess....but for now I am happy! xx

    Thanks Chris! Yes it's very early days yet, and it took a long time to get here...who knows how long this chemo will keep working for, but for now I am happy! Fingers crossed it will keep working for some time to come! xx

    Thank you Donna, I had a lovely time celebrating with friends from the Adelaide Breast Cancer Friendship Group last night, and no doubt the celebrations will continue on in to the long weekend! x

    Thank you so much Daina, indeed it is AMAZING news!...so totally unexpected by me and my treatment team! Thanks for Big KEV by the way! So glad he's SOOOO EXCITED, lol! xx
