My immediate thoughts are that knowing a recurrence is more likely is only useful if there is something to be done about it. I already live with a suggested (statistically based on pathology) high chance of recurrence and other than staying on antihormone therapy for longer there is not much else to ‘do’ about this currently.
I guess it gives me a big incentive to live well. I agree that mental health for those with identified higher risk is another hurdle that needs to be considered. It would seem that no one is suggesting this test would give any 100% guarantees.
