Yes, my surgeon is giving me the 'Frequent Cancer' (LOL) discount and doing a no gap fee operation at Westmead Private. He is also only charging the basic $80 fee for consults and I think I get $70 back from Medicare. The Plastic Surgeon is another story!!! $450 for the initial consult, $8500 per boob for DIEP construction gap fee, or $4000 per boob for silicine implants Gap fee. Imagine what his full fee is if this is just the gap!!! Thats for going Private.
I've had advice to go on the public hospital waiting list and get it all done for free!!! Think I will. May take 2-3 years though.......
Anyway. Surgery 9/6. Fingers croseed no lymph node involvement.
