I would definately mention the congestion to your medical team ( do you have a breast care nurse?)
I remember my anaesthetist visiting me in hospital the day after my mastectomy ( I always have a bad reaction to general anaesthetic including very bad nausea and I did mention this
prior to the surgery)
She said to me it was important to cough up anything as pneumonia was a ( remote) potential outcome - don’t know if she was being overly dramatic but I made a big effort to cough which hurt a bit.
I was in hospital for 6 nights so was closely monitored and was discharged home with everything in order and I did have a bigger operation.
Anyway , as it’s not a public holiday today hopefully you can make contact with someone.
