Reconstruction following radiation

Hi again, I have also have a mastectony, chemo and redio and have come across the same hurdles.  Im told I cant have an expander as the skin wouldnt cope and break down.  I saw another surgeon this week and he also advised to have a tram flap reconstruction, but Im not sure as you arent as to if I actually want another surgery and very long recovery.  Im 47 but I have been put on a waiting list for the surgery as it can take up to 3 years wait to have it done under medicare.  So by then Im ment to have made up my mind as to which way if at all I want to go.  So Id say do the same and get on a list and cross the other bridges as they come around.
