We all have so many different experiences with our reconstruction. My only advice is to make sure you are comfortable with your surgeon and can talk to them and they listen and get a second opinion.
My first Surgeon was supposed to be the best in Sydney so I was told, but she turned out to be a nightmare, so rude, did not like me asking questions and I would get all worked up before each visit. Op was really bad job. I thought I could not say anything to her about the way I was treated , as I should be greatful she was doing it through public system.
Had to have my reconstruction done again, this time by a different Dr who was so wonderful and caring. Wow what a difference , fantastic job.

The Dr I had in Sydney that did such a bad job and the way I was treated was Dr Megan Hassall.
My new surgeon who is just the best is Dr Baley at Greenslope in Quuensland.
