My gorgeous sister used to receive so much support from these pages and loved it - so now I'm feeling grateful for your advice too! (I can feel her sitting next to me and whispering all the tips and tricks to get through all of this okay!) And yes, I am counting my blessings every day. I am one of the lucky ones to have this advance warning. I just feel very emotional around it all because it is such a strong reminder of the journey my sister went on, one that I travelled on with her in so many ways.
I'm glad to hear you had such a good outcome. I'm assuming you are happy you chose DIEP rather than the implants? I know I'm lucky to have time to contemplate my options, rather than being rushed into surgery with cancer breathing down my neck!
