Recommend a Doctor

I would appreciate a recommendation to be able to see a GP here in my new area of Sydney we have just moved to.  No place like the BCNA to ask such an important question.

WHO IS THE BEST GP NORTH/WEST SYDNEY.  Just moved and need to continue on with monitoring after the all clear, two years on.

I really appreciate it.

Thank you from Bel Mc

  • Thank you Tonya.  I was wondering what to do next, as I have still got a long way to go with monitoring!  My husband's family live in Cherry Brook and West Pennant Hills, so tossing up whether to go to some one close, or go to some one who knows the family, and they trust.  Have written down your suggestions.  For me, I am not loving the travel times to get to a destination, so prefer something near our suburb.  I am about to start working full time hours for a month or so, so I will just get through that first.  Cheers from Bel

  • I will 2nd Tonya's reccommendation of Gail Molland. I travelled up from the South Coast to have my surgery with Gail & couldn't speak more highly of her. Saw her at her rooms at the Strathfield Breast Centre.
  • Welcome to the neighbourhood.I also saw your other blog but will answer here.I'm not sure if you prefer female/male or young or older GP but here goes.Possibly the closest medical practice near you might be the RouseHill family medical practice on Annangrove rd.They have some very nice doctors there, bulk bill and also have blood collection service.Dr Mary Bower-Williams(60+)is lovely as are most doctors there. The one I go to(28yrs!)is Kellyville family med practice on Windsor rd,Kellyville.I usually see dr Sybil Johnstone( 60+) who is very thorough, kind and gentle.I am also happy to see dr Susan Tugwell- very good too. There are other doctors there but I don't know them. They also have a physio and blood collection service. The surgeon I see is dr Gail Molland in CastleHill-very good.I have also heard that dr French is good too. He has rooms at Norwest Private Hosp.If you want to go public for check ups then Westmead Hosp has the breast cancer institute. Hope this helps and perhaps others will have suggestions.Good luck with the new job and if you need a coffee n a chat with a BCNA buddy just let me know .Tonya xx
