Recent diagnosis
im one week post op from a wide local ocision and removal of 6 lymph nodes one of which contained cancer cells. It was a grade 2 malignant invasive ductal carcinoma 2.5 cm. not sure what the type is ...
Hello::) Please don't be scared:) I was scared witless when I was diagnosed 2 years ago this month.I had invasive ductal carcinoma also, but mine was 2 cm.I had surgery ( mastectomy) followed by chemo.I didn't have radio cause I had a mastectomy.I am 60 now,and I also walk about 10 km a day. Some days more. Please believe me,you haven't lost control the way that you think.I walked EVERY day through my chemo.Certainly not as far as I do now,but I never missed a day.It is proven now that exercise alleviates many of the side effects of chemo, and I definitely found this to be true.Remember that chemo is a treatment for your BC,it is not an illness. With chemo, you don't feel exhausted ALL THE TIME,usually only a few days out of each round, and you soon get used to working around the worst days.Stay on this network of ladies that will tell you exactly how it is,and what you can do to get through the worst days.Keep smiling:):) You will do it!!!!!
