REALLY heavy period!

Well after having no periods for a few months I thought that I might not have one again, then BOOM, on Friday night I got it back! At first it was really light and I didn't think anything...

Well not such great news today.....although not too bad either! Apparently I have 4 fibroids in my uterus and one of them is distorting the wall. They are not sure if that is the cause of the heavy bleeding or not.
The "lesion" on my ovary is actually a large ovarian cyst! They think that it may have been caused by an egg "exploding" from the ovary after so long without a period and are hopeful that it will resolve itself in the next couple of months.
I have now been referred to a gynaecologist for a follow up.....yet another person to prod and poke me!!
