Ready for Round 2!
Hello everyone. Hope you r all well!
Wow it’s been a busy week at my end, filled with overseas friends, lunches, wedding, shopping, doctors appoints, most importantly Wig shopping and shaving my hair!
Overall went very well, some days I could really feel it in the afternoons, but it’s all good.
2nd Chemo is tomorrow! I’m all ready for this one, 1st one went well, so I’m really hoping it will be similar (I can only hope and dream lol)
Well, Tuesday 8th February 2011 I shaved my hair! I decided to do it at home, and my family (except my mum, she is still a bit sensitive to everything that is going on) got in on the fun! I had my sisters to do 3 plats in different parts of my hair (I based it on where my fave hair colour was, I’m 30 yrs old and have NEVER coloured my hair) then my younger sis started to cut n shave it..Then my other sister, dad, my 2 daughters, niece and bro in law! It was sooo much fun, and lots of laughs! But to my surprise it took very long to do, almost 2 hours. I should mention that I have EXTREMLY THICK HAIR, so it was a big job, but very happy with the way it went. I had an appoint with my Surgeon where i got the rest of my results as i not all were ready the last time i saw him. Very interesting results. In the original scans, it showed 2 Grade 3 Tumours in positions 2 & 3 O’clock, However, this was not accurate, yes there were 2 Tumours, but the original 2, was actually 1 bigger tumour, (it was big to start with, so kind of freaky it was even BIGGER) , the 2nd tumour was found in position 7 O’clock...This just made me more confidant that my surgeon gave me the best treatment possible from the beginning. Or else I’m guessing it would have been discovered after my surgery?? Then to have to go back in??That would have been soooo much harder. So A very, very big thanks to my wonderful Doc!!
My wig is thin straight hair, with colour so it’s something very different to my natural hair, but real enough 4 many not to know it’s a wig (unless I tell them) I have been wearing my hair naturally and scarfs etc out in public, I’m not hiding away and feel very confident when i step out..
So now its 1:38am Monday 14th Feb need to be at the clinic at 9:30am, so i should try and get some sleep (wish me luck) i haven’t had a good night sleep this week.
Goodnight, Hope you all have a beautiful week, Stay Well and keep SMILING
xoxo
