I had my Chemo at petermac in Melbourne and the Volunteers there (beautiful people) gave me a wig free of charge!! In the end I was hot and sick from Chemo and have only worn it a couple of times.
As to Centrelink, DONT expect ANY help from them whatsoever!! Been there, done that! It was as if I had a broken leg, Id be over it soon. No quarter given for any emotional damage. They did give me a Newstart Allowance whilst still expecting me to attend a Job Assessment interview. I have since been through an ARO etc, but,, But, no, dont get your hopes up. Hope this helps someone.
