radio'therapy' advice
Hi all,
A question for all warriors out there who have completed radio'therapy'.( the word therapy seems like it should be something nice and relaxing like a massage or nice smells, not getting your tit burned on a daily basis).
Anyhow, I am due for surgery next week and if all goes 'well' I will need to complete radio'therapy' . The question is, will I be able to return to my study and undertake 2 social work units while doing RT? They estimate about 8 hours per week needs to be dedicated to each unit. When you are fit and able you can half this easily but having just finished chemo'therapy' 8 hrs is probably realisitc.
Because I am not working I was hoping to have something to take my mind off all the crap which is currently subsuming me. But some people say that radiotherapy really knocks them around energy wise.
What are your thoughts? I dont want to stress myself but also want to keep my mind off things and am hoping returning to study will help me regain my identity and prepare me for returning to work later in the year.
Love to know your experiences.
