Radiologist oncologist
Hi has anyone been treated for radiotherapy over at Berwick,, St John of God hospital,as I have been transferred over from maroondah as it's closer to me
Hi melzzs
Since my diagnosis of Stage 2B (Grade 3) Triple Negative breast cancer (one lymph node involved) I've had all of my neoadjuvent chemo treatments (under Cameron McLaren) and my surgery (Katrina Read & Bruce Johnstone) at St John of God and have been extremely happy.
I'm 6 weeks post op from double mastectomy with reconstruction (expanders) and will be having radiotherapy at St John of God, Berwick in the coming weeks. Have met with Dr Esther Sim one of the Radio oncologists who is lovely. I'm feeling a little bit anxious as my left breast (which is the one that had the cancer) has taken it's sweet time to fully recover from the surgery and I have an area where the skin is red (no infection just thin). Will know next week what the plan is as they are talking maybe lower dose over 5 weeks, not the usual 3 weeks. I just want to get on with it now though to be honest as I finished chemo back in March.
Anyway, hope it all goes well for you. Maybe we will bump into each other in the waiting room .
OMG I just realised how long ago your post was (LOL). I'm sure you are all done and dusted by now.
