Yes I agree Anne, more should be said about the side effects of the radiation as it can be extremely painful. It also appears to be and listening to our pink lady friends, that some hospitals have a better treatment plan than others. Personally, I found that the creams I was given could have been much better. Surely, given the pain and discomfort we had to endure could have been treated by a cream with some anaesthetic in it, which unfortunately wasn't offered to me.
I burnt badly also and I have relatively dark skin.
The absolute worst thing for me was the bra rubbing on the node scar, it still causes me grief to this day. When I used the pads I itched like crazy, but it was brushed aside. I also developed a red rash across my tummy from one side to the other, which itched like hell, I reckon I got it about two weeks into treatment and had it for about two weeks after. Can you tell me what folicalitis is please, as no-one at the hospital I attended, seemed to take much notice of my rash, let alone tell me what it could have been.
