RADIATION BURNS
Hi Everyone, I had a lumpectomy 7/5/13, followed by chemo followed by 30 bouts of radiation which I finished on 4/12/13. The oncology people told me to use vitamin E cream (which of course is very good) but I still found that many of the ladies were having bad burns and blisters. I have an Aloe Vera plant growing in a my garden and each day as soon as I came back from radiation, I would cut off a leaf-slice it open and rub the gel all over the area. Depending how bad the burning was I would sometimes do it again before bed followed by vit E cream. I found the Aloe Vera worked wonders. Not one blister--eased the burning and I'm not left with any noticeable mark on my breast. You can also put the leaf in the fridge so its nice and cool when you apply it. Don't bother scraping off the gel, just rub it straight from the leaf. Hope this helps
