Questions post op
Hello ladies,
I hope everyone has had a lovely, restful christmas with family and friends.
I am 12 days past my right complete skin sparing mastectomy and left prophylatic skin spari...
Hi hope you are feeling good, it does take a long time to feel normal again.
I had mastectomy and tramflap reconstuction in August.
I wore the binder for 6 weeks day and night uncomfortable but got used to it, was nice when I could stand up straight
Sneezing and coughing not pleasant for a week.
The tummy feels numb alot, told it will settle but will always feel strange.
Driving 6 weeks
Sleeping slept on my back with pillows under my legs for first 6 weeks to stop pulling on tummy.
Housework didn't do any, husband did the lot.
Boobs swollen for a while, was strange as I had 1 perky boob and 1 saggy had to remember to put in bra.
In November I had a nipple put on my new boob and my other boob reduced and made perky. My boobs still swollen and tender at times. Waiting until I can go out and buy new bras, at the moment just wearing ahh bras, only thing I can tolerate as scarring still tender My new nippe looks amazing.
Hope you are feeling good take it 1 day at a time, I'm waiting for the new year and a new normal Happy new year and roll on 2015xx.
