Question about the Pill and increased risk

Hi wondering if anybody can help me with some advice? I'm 38 and last year was dianosed with stage 3 Infiltrating Duct Carninoma and my breast cancer was oestrogen receptor positive.

The Family Cancer Centre have determined my cancer was genetic but we are BRCA 1 & 2 negative so we carry an unknown gene. Three of my aunt's had breast cancer and a cousin has just had treatment for Ovarian Cancer.

One sister's doctors will nolonger prescribe her the pill as he says it's too high risk.

My youngest sister's 30 and her doctor has just precribed her the pill to her for her skin. Should she take it or get another opinion?

  • If her skin is a problem then maybe she should see a dermatologist - my daughter did and it helped.
