Thank you for your response and words of encouragement. Did you have a double mastectomy or just the one breast? Yes I had the lump removed, the surgeon recommended mastectomy which I will have in a few months. The onc. told me chemo is to be followed(which I have started, 2 cycles so far) and that I didn't need radiotherapy. When I spoke to them I never thought of having the other brest removed, so that's why I wasn't sure as to who is the best person to go back and consult with. Thank you for your advice, I will ring the cancer council and see what they recommend. xxx
