  • Hi,

I see my doc next week so i'll talk to him about it your right we go through enough suffering, will let you know how i get on

    Thanks

    Linda :-)

  • Yes,the Tamoxifen took my menopause to a whole new level! But I have really found relief with 10mg Endep. It doesn't seem to have any side effects either. If I take it too late in the evening then I'm abit groggy in the early morning-so must remember to take it around 7pm.I still get a hot flush if I drink a hot drink and some at night if it's a heat wave. But we've suffered enough with all the treatment we go through-we need abit of quality of life surely.Pin ur doc down!

  • Hi Linda,

Hot flushes are the pits.I've had them for 8years now and just when I thought they were dying down the Tamoxifen has cranked them up again.Im taking the brand"genox"which I find bit more agreeable. My doc. put me on small dose of antidepressant-10mg Endep. It didn't much help with hot flushes but it sure gives me a good night sleep.Helped with my low mood too.I have 2 friends who said it helped.I guess we all react differently.I keep a little fan on most nights too.You shouldn't have to put up with all that night crap-don't know how you've done it for 2yrs.Hope your doctor can offer you some relief.

  • thanks it just wearing me out not sleeping because everything is wet i have to change the sheets & have a shower about 2 a.m but by 5.00a.m wet again & all i can smell is tomoxifen.have to see the specialist early next month i'll ask him about catapresse. How we don't end up with pnemonia is beyond me shouldn't complain really just i'd love to have a full nights sleep without waking up changing sheets & having a shower

    regards linda

  • Hi

Yes, I am, but I'm on Arimadex. My GP put me on catapresse, and I did take some Sage tablets at first from the health shop. I think they helped but didn't get back  to get some more as we live so far away.  I've only been on the Catapresse for about a month and I think it's helping a bit.
