Viviscal shampoo and conditioner helps your hair feel thicker, (doesn't promote growth though) and smells beautiful. Fusion hair tonic supplements works quite well for some and promotes growth. I have used both of these.
Nioxin gets a really good wrap on the UK paxman site. I have a friend who is using Rogain for an immune deficiancy disease that causes hair loss and having some success.
