Preparing for TCH chemo

I didn't have that exact regime,but I did have the Docetaxel component of it.I may be wrong,but I think that preparing for chemo is similar in many ways,no matter what you are having.When I found out I would be having chemo,the things that I(we) did were: buy lots of hand sanitiser.I had it all round the house,and one bottle at the front door.NO ONE was allowed in without using it! I bought my own water bottle,which I used for walking every day.I had my head shaved about 5 days before chemo started.My oncologist actually suggested this,and it was the best bit of advice I was given.i bought Moo Goo moisturiser,which I still use,as your skin can get really dry.I bought Biotene toothpaste and mouthwash.I found it so much better than bicarbonate of soda.It is a bit expensive,but well worth it.I bought tictacs(lots) and always had them on me.They helped with the funny taste in my mouth.A GOOD moisturiser for your lips.And the last thing I can think of,is I kept a diary every day,then you can compare each round,and also record side effects that you might want to tell your oncologist,because you will forget things.
