Hi Lyn I had 2 attempts at getting the dcis, after 2nd was told I needed a mastectomy. I had 4 cycles of chemo before my mastectomy ( I had reconstruction at the same time) Chemo is different for everyone I was quite sick for the first 2 and my oncologist decided that she would drop the dosage for the last 2 and I wasn't as sick.
The fatigue for me was the worst, I would fall asleep watching tv. One day at a time. When you go in to see your oncologist ask as many questions as you can take a notebook and keep notes. When I went my husband and daughter came and they thought of things I didn't.
Go out and get yourself a diary as your life becomes very busy with appointments. You will get there, it will be 12 months at the end of June since I had my last chemo, Be kind to yourself it is very overwhelming at the beginning.
