Today I went to pre- admiission clinc, what a way to spend your day off. I guess it is finally starting to hit me that in 8 days I will be having surgery. This all seems so unreal. What I am feeling at the moment seems to be all mixed up, I guess I am just scared. You always think this will never happen to you.
Thanks Jo, I am having a lumpectomy and sentinel node biposy, query axillary clearance, at this stage they are (the doctors, looking at radio therapy only as a follow up.

It is scary you are normal to feel this way- its the thought of it happening to you! I hope your surgery goes well and you have a resonable hospital stay! What sort of surgery? I am sure there are gals online who will have had a similiar operation and may be able to help! I had a wide local excision ( lumpectomy) and axillary clearance ( they didnt do sentinel node biposy 's in 2003! followed by chemo and radio. Take Care Hugs jo
