Hello lovely ladies, Day 3 after surgery and still okay. Eating a bit more but not overdoing it. The physio comes in daily and I make sure I do my exercises, which are not at all strenuous. Swelling feet is still a problem but this is common with me anyway. My drain bottles are in shopping bags so I can get up and walk at any time. I'm even going to have a shower this morning. Pain is kept under control and not too much of a problem but I can't wait to get the drain tubes out, which, I have to admit, are uncomfortable and quite painful under the arms. I was absolutely dreading the surgery but have found it not as bad as I thought. I am slowly getting used to sleeping on my back and find putting a pillow under my knees helps. Don't worry about a nightie, a hospital gown is the only thing that copes with access and the drain tubes. So to all of you with surgery coming up, stay positive and celebrate each new achievement, no matter how small it seems. Just being able to get up and go to the loo was huge for me. Hugs to you all Joy xxx

  • Thank you so much for your blog. Since my reco is due in feb it is good to hear how things are progressing with someone who has the same plastic surgeon.
  • Way to go Joy

Luv how you say it as it is.  You let us know the good and the bad and that is the way it should be.

I am sending you big fat healing hugs and I hope that shower felt wonderful.

Keep us in the loop of what is going on and how you are getting on.

    Lots of love, Mich xooxox

  • What a positive attitude you have, well done. I agree celebrate the little things as just getting out of bed is sometimes a big achievement.

Hopefully you will be home and getting your life back under control soon.
