Excuse me butting in on your question to Janey;) I'm sure she will reply, but I just thought I would let you know how chemo is for me in my daily life. From day 1 to day 5 I feel quite normal,as you are given Dexamethasone to take, and it keeps you going,so to speak. From day 5 to about day 8 I have felt quite tired and needed to lay down throughout the day.I feel the tiredness just comes on without warning! Its quite bizarre actually. And then from day 9 on I have just felt pretty normal . I have stayed home from day 9 to 14 because of the risk of infection. Before starting chemo,I had this idea that it would affect my daily life in a huge way.I can definitely say for me,that it hasn't.I guess the thing that you have to remember is,that some ladies do have a lot of side effects. We are all so different. Also,I have exercised every single day throughout each chemo cycle.I walk about 2 or 3 K every day. Some faster than others! My oncologist told me that it is the one single thing that you can do to help yourself during chemo. All the best with your experience Joy.
