I finally got in touch with my breast care nurse. She had in fact left a message with the hospital that she would be away on Friday and the weekend at a seminar but the whole writing of messages down thing didn't happen.
She checked my drain system and out put today and said its ok but rather an interesting way the surgeon did it to have only one outlet in the middle of the chest. Its been sucking quite hard and that is why the high discomfort and pain associated. Output is around 25 to 40 so she thinks tomorrow the outpatients staff may possibly remove the drain for me tomorrow. Bonus! :)
She said if there's any trainee rot or anything, just ring her and if I am denied being allowed to make a surgeon appointment next Tuesday morning for the pathology results then let her know and she will sort it all out
