I had my mastectomy on Monday and was discharged less than 24 hours later on Tuesday.

Sounds like you are not getting the help you should. Your GP should be getting a copy of every test etc. that you are having. If you have a good GP that you trust - maybe make an appointment to see him/her every week so you can feel like you are getting the care you need. They can be a great help.
