Thank you @Nadi! I found out today the tests were to establish a baseline as you said. Have no idea why they didn't just say that on the phone! Funnily enough the questionnaire I had to fill in first asked 'why are you here to have a bone scan?' and I had to say 'because I was told to come in! No idea but must be something to do my lumpectomy'. All went well and I found a place to hang out between procedures ... although I had the radiation dye in my arm at 10.40am the scan itself was only at 2.30pm! I think I will be learning patience this year! But the place I found was called the Solaris Cancer Foundation and it is a free service run by volunteers. It is for all cancer patients and their carers. Lovely lounges, comfy chairs, huge aquarium, books, tea and coffee plus a free alternative therapy every week of your cancer treatment and 6 weeks after! There was massage, yoga, reiki, aromatherapy, bowen therapy, pranic therapy, acupuncture, counselling etc. I am booked in for a half hour hand massage after my surgeon appointment on Friday! Might as well have a spoon full of sugar to help the medicine go down! I hope people in other states have something similar! I was considering going back to the car and waiting but this was just perfect!☺
