I also had a bone scan and CT scan before starting chemo. I think it's quite common for high grade tumours. I also had an ECG to have a baseline for my heart which was very quick and easy. I think it's good to get the tests to give you peace of mind. I found a list of questions to ask my doctor in one of the Cancer Council booklets. The list really helped.
