Post lumpectomy chafing-like feeling

Hi,
I'm getting a chafing-type feeling/pain in my arm pit and nipple post-lumpectomy / (2 weeks ago).  Just wondering if anyone else has had similar?

There's no visible rubbing and I wonder if it's a nerve healing thing?

It's all the fun of being a male distance runner  without the running!

  • Monitor for any heat or swelling in the area. Seroma (a collection of fluid) or infection can present as weirdo sensations. Nerve damage is also a possibility.

Keep an eye on it and make sure you mention this to pretty much every member of your medical team you have a conversation with. If anything changes for the worse, or there is no improvement, contact your surgeon and/or your GP or breast care nurse. Don't 'wait and see', this shit can escalate quickly.

Don't muck about with anything that feels wrong--if it's nothing to worry about you wouldn't be worried. Peace of mind is gold.
