Positive margins post skin sparing mastectomy

Dear all, I've recently had unilateral skin sparing mastectomy. The biopsy result showed positive margins, meaning the cancer may still be in part of the skin spared. My cancer is quite aggressive n large, so chemo will start asap with a possibility of more surgery to remove the skin - hence total mastectomy. Can I ask if anyone had kept their skin n been free of BC just from chemo n radio? What r the risks? I'm a bit devastated with the bad news of more mutilation, pain n suffering.
