Please advice regarding side effects
Dear ladies, Due to the side effects of Anastrozole I have taken one month break but still after one month experiencing the side effects. Need advice how long it takes the side effects to go away?
Hi @Zan, see your oncologist. Most are open to helping you sort out side effects. I was on tamoxifen and was ok for about a year and then experienced terrible side effects.
My oncologist suggested a break for 6 to 8 weeks and then trying Letrozole which has been a welcomed change for the last year. While my meds were different to yours I think you could benefit from talking to your dr about a different AI.
My oncologist did tell me that the meds talk 4 to 6 weeks to get out of the body altogether. It was great not being on anything and I started noticing how good it was not being on anything after at least 4 weeks but that change was gradual. Good luck
