Well this seems to be all to frequent that someon is told not to worry as if they are dealing with a grazed knee or minor ailment.  You have already had 2 lumps and here you are again so make sure that you get to see someone a bit more caring and with a bit more knowledge by the sound of what you have just been diagnosed with.  You will worry when you have lumps and lets hope that they are benign but if they are not and you are not happy with surgeon demand to see someone else.

Thinking of you and fingers crossed that these are benign.

well last July I was told I didn't have to see my consultant again as the lumps hadn't grown felt a bit vulnerable and scared .6 months on I found a new lump so back to square one again having mammogram tomorrow as dr found another one feeling anxious .

Great thats over with Jane and I have heard about that hook and wire procedure and glad I did not require it.  Being from the UK and so far from family at a time like this is tough too but it is good that you have some supportive friends to help brighten your days.  May the healing be good and keep us informed.  Best wishes, Colleen

You have found a great site with many sympathetic ears. It is frustrating and stressful to not only go through this once but more than once can almost be unbearable. It is a journey that you dont have to face alone, as there are many here that are willing to listen and support - we have all experienced this condition and understand what you are going through. Good luck with your battles.  I think that now days we need to find doctors/specialists that actually specialise in whatever our medical issues are........definately Phyllodes needs some specialised help & I have been lucky with my surgeon.  Good luck with treatment and your peace of mind. xxxx

Sorry to hear about how you are feeling. I had one 12 months ago and had two lots of surgery to remove it. Who told you couldn't see the breast care nurse> I didn't even ask and was provided with a breast care nurse straight away and my tumour was benign too. I was at a hospital in Ballarat. dont know if it varies from state to state. Hope everything goes okayRegards
