Hi,
I have been diagnosed with borderline PT one week ago. I had growing lump in my breast for about 3 years. At first it was the size of a pea but recently it was sticking out - clearly visible with naked eye and about 4cm in size. During my last usg I have been told that I shouldnt worry and come back after I'm over 40 for mammogram.
Luckily for me, one saturday, during shower I discovered that I had massive lymphnode under my armpit. I panicked and tried to book my GP but it was closed as it was Saturday so I went to another one. How lucky for me! I had simple infection of a lymph node but this new GP got interested in my growing lump which during my 4 previous ultrasounds was diagnosed as a fibroid. He sent me for another ultrasound but regardless another diagnose of fibroid, he referred me to breast specialist. Month later I had a lumpectomy and week later I received a call with results " borderline PT". During this convesation, the doctor repeated few times that its not a cancer but I will have to have another surgery as margins werent clear. Since then, I read a lot and it looks like I should have clear margin of 1cm to be on a safe side. My next appointment is in 1 week time. I'm on emotional rollecoaster; once I feel that all will be fine and I just worry about how my breast will look afterwards and 2 hrs later I just hope not to have reocurrence.
Thank you for all the advice
