Phyllodes Tumor - Anyone else out there?

I was thinking of you today as well.

 Well I am good, I am back home and recovering nicely. The Operations was on the 23rd everything went well, I left hospital last Tuesday. The bilateral skin sparing mastectomy was a success, got my results on Friday night last week they got all the cancer and my sentinel node was free of cancer cells,  I got the histology four pages long and to cut a long story short I was a time bomb, but the decision of having a mastectomy was the right choice, I don't have to have chemo or radiotherapy which I am over the moon about, I am free of cancer, which was great news, grade 2 Breast cancer -  I had a spread of 6cm of DCIS and  a 1cm of Invasive DC, IDC. it came as positive to hormone receptors, they will put me on medication in the next few weeks, they have tested me for BRCA 1 and BRCA 2 should get the results in the next two months. I am healing well, my left breast is going fine but my right breast is not healing as well, there was a problem with the blood flow and I have dressings change every two days to see if it does improve.

 At the moment they are happy with it but I will need to wait till Monday if it has not improve I will have surgery to correct it on  Thursday  next week - when I attended last Monday they thought they will operate on my today, They put a special dressing on monday and  yesterday it showed great improvement and they quite happy to let it go until next Monday and see, apparently I am a good healer and they think it might be good by then.

All and all Katie, I am feeling pretty good, I look different and the reconstruction looks really good. I am pleased with the results a bit down about the right breast but we will see it might correct itself, and if not, the surgery will be a small step to get it right.

It's a bit weird not having nipples but I can always get them in the future, I am trying to get my head around everything else at the moment. But I am positive and all I want at the moment is to heal and get the right breast well.
