I don't normally stay up after 10pm but I have just found your blog site Katie and now it's nearly midnight! I cant stop reading :-) Thanks for starting it and thanks to all the other women who have joined and contributed.
I had read that Phyllodes Tumors are rare (although my surgeon insisted that she treats quite a few...?) but your blog has shown that there aren't many women out there talking about it.
I had my first fibroadenoma removed when I was 22 and it was the 5th surgery at 45 that rang some alarm bells. A lump had some calcification in it so I had it removed in late Feb. The biopsy showed that it was a benign PT and I had surgery again in early March to ensure a clear margin.
Now I am waiting for the follow-up appointment with my surgeon in Sept to see how things are going. As most of you have posted, it is often confusing and concerning what is written on the www. I have decided to not worry and 'wait and see'.
My thoughts and best wishes go out to you all. I live in Melbourne Tennille and would be happy to chat if you like.
Kind regards, Mish x
