Peripheral Neuropathy
Hi All,
I have started this new thread because I am worried.
I am 2 months out of chemo (Dose Dense 4xAC 4xPaclitaxol) and the neuropathy in my feet is getting worse. From the balls of my feet to my toes - feel like blocks of wood!
When I sleep, I sleep o n my side with my hands under the pillow. Recently (in the last week) I have been waking up wth pins and needles in my hands and fingers. When I put my hands down by my sides it goes away, but I naturally put my hands back there again and yep, more pins and needles. Do not notice anything during the day in my hands.
By the end of the day my feet are REALLY sore, red, swollen etc. All my oncologist said (on last meeting a few weeks back) was to moisturise. I haven't been doing it twice a day like she said to, so I will increase that, but any other tips? Should I be worried that it seems to be getting worse rather than better?

- JJ70MemberMy neuropathy is still same. I am keeping my feet really toasty in some woolen slippers. It seems to help. Doing magnesium sulphate (epsom salts) and lavender oil foot baths daily as well. The pins and needles I had in my hands just after surgery, seem to have gone again thank goodness. I was worried there for a couple of days.

They also have lots of other great styles and are really helpful. I'm sure they'll post to you in Sydney. - JJ70MemberEASTMUM this is the company for the colourful one. The other I got from a local shop Cheveux on Hay. It is called a Bamboo Flower Turban. It is plain black. In the photo I have added a normal headband of my own for a bit of colour. I will pop the link in for you.

- EastmumMemberAwesome that you're home from hospital @JJ70 and even better news that you're happy with the result so far!
How's the neuropathy?
I'm still dying to know where you bought your gorgeous, colourful headwear from - love the one in your profile shot and also the rainbow one you posted with the cupcakes  I'd love to get a hold of some of those and I haven't seen them anywhere! - JJ70MemberHi Eastmum. Got home yesterday and am doing really well. I am really happy with the result so far and not in too much pain. Thanks for checking on me!!
- EastmumMemberHey there @JJ70 how are you doing after your DIEP? Are you still in hospital? Xx

- kmakmMember@"Kiwi Angel" Don't be so modest! I may have been able to work weeks two and three of my first two TC cycles but I would not have been able to after that. I was a mess, my hands, energy and emotions especially. You are amazing!
