Penultimate

Well 'halfway' took longer than expected to recover from. And the 'penultimate' is looming. Plus the 'time to get back on with it' is creeping ever closer. I will be pleased that it will be 'all finished' although now it's never really 'finished' as I will have the tablets for 10 years and check ups every 6/3 months. Again I have been overwhelmed with the support from friends. Such loving caring friends. Bit nervous about this one coming. But in usual style will tackle it head on. As once done then closer to the last one. It has been good to 'feel myself' this week and indulge in stuff for me like my photography course and learning more about pianolas. Something I definitely wouldn't have done. Anyway, looking forward to a few laughs with friends during and after this round. And fingers crossed will recover quicker as a new plan for this one. Oh and been told wear a beanie well and have a good looking head. And thinking of placing bets on what colour and if curly or not. Me I think curly and 'blonde'.

  • Penultimum close to done. Then Ultimum will be done and dusted in 21 days. Wahoo!!!!
  • Looking for the positives and getting some laughter therapy does help. But nothing really relieves that tension until you have that last chemo. In just a few weeks you will feel that relief and be able to celebrate with those friends of yours! You are so right when you say it is never really 'finished' but nothing is as hard as chemo. You do adjust to living with the changes that the tablets and the regular check-ups involve. Life is different but can be good again. Best of luck with your last 2 chemos. Take care. Deanne xxx
