Hi Donna, definitely the waiting is stressful and I have always been a bookseller up until 2 years ago so I love to read, and source out information. Not always a good thing I have been told if you have a medical condition, as everybody is different in the way they cope side affects, etc.
I have elderly parents that I look after as my dad had a mild stroke 3 years ago and thankfully he is better physically although his short term memory isn't always the best and I take them to all their appts. They don't live with me but live very close and I am their everything. My brothers are great but they have kids and their life is busy although they do help. I always worry about other people and in this case I worry how my parents will cope seeing me maybe going through chemo and the side affects, hair loss etc.
I will be at Moorabbin next week and I am glad you had wonderful experiences with the medical people there. I know I will be in good hands once treatment starts but I hope I will cope with everything. I am trying to take some kilos off too so I try to walk every day for atleast 30 minutes. I wish I had a dog though, I am thinking of getting a puppy in afew months.
I have taken some time off work now until mid April in order to get things organised and for the surgery I had last week. Not sure If chemo changes the time away from work. Is it possible to go through chemo and still work or is it too difficult todo whilst undergoing this type of treatment?
Fantastic that you are back at work. I know this journey changes people, and I am lucky to have all you lovely ladies to chat too especially in the coming weeks. I know I will need it.
Take Care
